My Favorite Astronomy Topics

1. The Milky Way Galaxy contains the solar system. The Milky Way is made up of millions of stars. The discovery of the Milky Way was discovered by an ancient greek philosopher. The Milky Way is 13 billion years old.The Milky Way is also part of the Universe.

2. The rings of Saturn, is divided into 5 groups( G,F,A,B,C) rings. The F and G rings are very thin and very hard to see. However, the A,B,C rings are very easy to see. The large gap between A and B is called the Cassani Division. The rings can not be solid, because of the Roche limit.

3. The Moon is the only satellite for Earth. The Moon has been known ever since pre-historic times. It is the second brightest object in the solar system after the sun.The first visit of the Moon was in 1959.It's first landing was on July 20, 1969.

4. Andromeda Galaxy is the Milky Way's sister. This galaxy has more stars than the Milky Way. The Andromeda Galaxy and Milky Way are the largest galaxies. The Andromeda Galaxy has a spiral structure. The Andromeda Galaxy was called Great Adromeda Neuble.

5. The Hubble Telescope is a powerful orbiting telescope that provides better images. It is named after an American astronomer Edwin P. Hubble. Astrnomers use this telescope to get images of celestial objects. The telescope launched in the 1990s circling Earth high above.
